![]() These trials vary from timed events to boss rush battles and offer rewards depending on how well the goal is attained upon completion. People can join others as they travel through the story mode, or team up to tackle the Infinity Trials. Multiplayer becomes available early on in the form of couch co-op, online, or combination of the two. Playing alone with three computers is enjoyable and reliable enough to complete the main campaign, but playing with friends is where the game truly begins to shine. Granted, those that are not familiar with the characters and the source material might not get the same satisfaction playing this game. The Black Order offers tons of fanservice such as characters, locations, events, and artifacts that Marvel fans should recognize and appreciate throughout the journey. Players are expected to come in well-versed with Marvel lore, due to limited backstories being provided for the large cast, and this allows the game to jump into events quickly. While the story is pretty basic in design, it accomplishes what it needs to, moving from one plot point to the next with little breaks in action in between. After this opening chapter, the game opens up and starts regularly throwing in new characters to join the party. Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot, and Rocket Raccoon make up the default starting characters, with Rocket and Groot acting as one character. Ultimate Alliance 3 starts off with the Guardians of the Galaxy discovering a seemingly abandoned Kree spaceship. With a promise to continuously add new content to the game that includes new stages, modes, characters, and costumes, The Black Order looks to entertain Marvel fans for a good length of time. The end result is a fun game that brings together a diverse group of Marvel characters on a mission to stop Thanos’ quest to bring balance to the universe by collecting the Infinity Stones. Many thought the series was done until Koei Tecmo and Nintendo collaborated to create Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. Keep going and enter the door that shows up on your mini-map.For ten years the world has been devoid of The Ultimate Alliance games. Send a message with the antenna and make your way down the hull, taking out all of the big guns. Pick up the Strike Upgrade and Ulik's Simulator Disc. Starbolt's Flame: 5 Fire damage to all melee attacks, +35% damage to all Fire Damage Powers. Shi'ar Battle Armor: Reflects 10% of melee damage. Take him out first and then go after Starbolt, who has moved down the path a little bit. Warstar will pop out of the floor in an ambush attack. You will run into two more bosses to take out: Starbolt and Warstar. ![]() While on the Outer Hull, your camera will be in a fixed position again. Pick up the Sketch Book and use the Airlock Control to open up the door to take you to the Outer Hull. Kill the enemies and keep heading for the exit. On your way out, pick up the Body Upgrade on your left. Optional Objective: Disable the main guns of the starship. Optional Objective: Send a message using the antenna of the Shi'ar starship. When Gladiator is killed, the hyperdrive matrix is destroyed. Imperial Mantle: +6 to Body, Focus, Strike. Do whatever you have to to kill the guy and pick up his gear. If he gets the consoles turned back off, you'll have to repeat the process. Be sure to block his eye beams, as they can do a lot of damage. Use someone quick to activate the four computer consoles around the room. This boss is a tough one to defeat, so don't attack him immediately. Use the elevator and you'll be taken to another area for a fight with Gladiator. Head towards the elevator and take out the enemies. Position a hero on each of the two green "X"s and use the consoles to open up the door. Return to the two consoles next to the sealed door. Kill the second guy to pick up the key card. On the way, you'll come across a Focus Upgrade. Kill the guy with the key card and make your way to the other side. As you go after the one to the right, you'll run into Ultron's Simulator Disc. You will also see two guys take key cards to a secured door. Proceed forward and take out the groups of space soldiers. Your job here is to destroy the hyperdrive matrix so that you stop the ship. He will, however, remain available via radio to help you through the level. ![]() Shi'ar Power CoreĬorsair will leave you before you enter this area. Go back to the main bay and head for the door on your mini-map. Do the same sort of thing that you did on the other side and pick up the Striking Upgrade. ![]() Next, return to the main bay and enter the Starboard Crew Quarters. Kill the crew members and break everything in the area to collect more orbs and S.H.I.E.L.D. Enter the Port Crew Quarters and use the Fighter Pit Controls to disable the force field.
